Le Président Adama Barrow lance un appel aux partenaires de développement

Lors de sa visite au Secrétariat ACP à Bruxelles le 16 mars 2017, le nouveau Président de la République de Gambie, Son Excellence Adama Barrow a lancé un appel aux partenaires de la coopération au développement, pour un appui à la reconstruction de son pays dont l’économie est totalement paralysée. Plusieurs secteurs de la vie socio-économique ont besoin d’un appui financier urgent a-t-il insisté, pour redonner un espoir d’améliorer les conditions de vie des populations. C’est le cas de l’agriculture, de l’écotourisme, de l’énergie, de la santé, mais aussi de l’éducation, la formation, la gouvernance, la sécurité, l’assainissement d’eau. Le Président Adama Barrow a lancé aussi un appel au Secrétariat ACP, d’accompagner la « Nouvelle Gambie » tournée vers le futur, avec ses grands défis de développement et de réduction de la pauvreté, en ciblant trois secteurs principaux : l’industrie agroalimentaire, le transport et le tourisme.
